SO yesterday I had a day off for the holiday but the fine folks at Operation Z chose to stay open. I motored over to see the block, freshly delivered from Specialty Z, heads from West Coast Racing, and also to take a whack at gaining access to my fuel pump. The prior owner had a really nifty custom fiberglass enclosure for two subs, amps and what-not, built into the shelf and rear cargo area. It raises on electric actuators. Sadly, at least one actuator failed and the clever folks who designed the rig, left it impossible to raise or access manually. I figured I'd see if my limited mechanical skills might divine and answer to the mystery since I want to replace my fuel pump, etc. Well, so far, no luck, but many thanks to the nice guys at Op Z for letting me invade their space for a day to try and thanks for the all the help they offered. So, here are a few pics. . .As soon as the turbos and supersplits arrive from Spec. Z, this puppy should be getting final assembly. . .I can hardly wait. JWT 500 cams .5mm oversize valves, 5 angle valve job, all that porting and polishing that of course from here, you cannot see. . .
 Ross Pistons 11.5:1 compression

With each new day, the money vaccum renews it's hold on my wallet. . .
